Mr Miagi's gonna be pretty.

Somebody from the contractor's insurance company finally came on Thursday to look at all the cars that got oversprayed with paint. They looked over everybody's cars and then said they would send us all an estimate which we would give to a body shop to do the necessary repairs. We got the estimate in the mail on Saturday. If you recall I had my borther-in-law make me an estimate for what it would cost to repair and his estimate was $500. The insurance's estimate was $1300!! I was not expecting that at all. They're definitely not gonna just blow us off and do the cheapest thing possible. They're gonna do what really needs to be done and do it right and pay for it all. And the guy said that if the body shop thought it would be more that they would just need top call and talk to the insurance company, but that it would get taken care of. Pretty sweet, huh? Mr. Miagi's not gonna have spots once this gets taken care of. Now I just need to give the estimate to my brother-in-law (TC Concepts, he's awesome).

Thankfully it's not jam packed though. First off I've got an appointment at 11 to get a chip fixed in Mr Miagi's windshield repaired. While coming home from work on Wednesday some chick chucked something out her window and it landed *smack* right on the windshield. I have no idea what it was and I can't prove she did it, but she was the only one I saw with her window down. Anywho it left a tiny chip in the glass. I was not very happy. Luckily our insurance covers repairing chips, so we don't have to pay anything. Yay. That'll probly take about 45 minutes during which time I will continue to read Eldest. My next appointment is at 2 for my long awaited for massage, where I will become kneaded and stretched like a bad piece of bread dough for 2 hours until I feel so much better. I love my massage therapist, she's Awesome. Then at 5 is [info]main_hoon_emily's indian b-day party.

And at some point today I still have to go shopping. I've been to dillons 3 times this week, but never took my comprehensive list, so there's still a lot I need to buy. One of the main things is new cat litter. About a week ago, I got a bag of The World's Best Cat Litter to try. The bag sounded pretty impressive and it's made from corn so it's good for the environment. Well, let me tell you it sucks big time. The cats pick up corn litter dust each time they use it and transfer it all over the house. The other problem is the smell. I kid you not, the stuff smells like vomit when I go to scoop it. Poor Twerp wanted to come sit on my lap last night, but she'd just been in the litter and I could smell the corn vomit on her and couldn't bear to have her that close to my nose. So new litter is high on the shopping list for today.

It was a busy week. Monday and Tuesday were busy getting ready for the CEO's visit and Wednesday morning was a madhouse. Everyone in cats put off their normal duties to come out to the new building and get it thoroughly cleaned for the tour. They also bought us matching scrubs (royal blue with the Hill's logo) just for that day.  The visit started with all of the techs in a room with cats playing with them or grooming them (I had a feather wand to play with my group). When the suits showed up we went to the entrance of the new building and the CEO gave a speech then there was a ribbon cutting and we went back to our cat rooms while the suits passed by and observed us. I kinda felt like I was in a cage at the zoo. Everytime someone passed by I got my kitties to jump for the feathers and perform. Some of them just wanted to sit in my lap or be petted. After that we got to have some punch and kitty shaped cookies. Then it was over, they bought us Godfather's pizza for lunch and then it was back to work. The rest of the week was ok although with only a few of us working out in the new cat building there's so much to do. Friday 4 of us stayed an hour late just to get everything done.

More than just work has been going on too. Monday I had another 2 hr massage from Melody at the Sounds of Colour. And since the last visit 3 people went to visit her on my recommendation and for each person I got $10 off. So my massage was only $30 and I gave her a $10 tip. If anyone is interested in getting the best massage ever, give her a call and say I referred you :-). Her number is (785) 215-3243.

Tuesday was a little bittersweet. I said goodbye to my Saturn. He'd been a pretty good car for 5 years but he'd been acting up for the past several months. His check engine light had been on for the past couple months and according to the manual there's probably something wrong with the temperature sensor. Wyatt's been wanting to get a Honda for a while now and Monday night we went driving around looking at car lots to see what they had. Tuesday evening we went out to dinner with the Messicks and convinced them to go on a test drive with us afterwards. Little did they know that they'd be sitting in an office for an hour while we filled out paperwork. I said goodbye to the Saturn and know have a beautiful Honda Civic.
